Question about 2000 GMC Jimmy
The jimmy had starting hesitation last winter. We cleaned the grounds and it seemed to work over the warmer months with very little hesitation. Then we have had cooler weather again and I am going through starting problems again. We have replaced the battery. The Egr code popped and the check engine light goes on and off. But now thats its coldier out I am having starting issues again. Can the egr valve cause this problem?
Yes the egr valve could cause starting problems. If it is sticking open it would cause a huge vac leak.
I would want to know what the trouble codes are in the computer first. Those codes would help a mechanic nail down the problem area and what to check.

well you could remove it and put a hose on it and either **** on it or hook it up to a vacuum and see if it moves up and down, if it don't move it has a bad diaphram
