FIRST OF ALL YOU NEED A HAYNES OR CHILTON REPAIR MANUAL.IT WILL TELL YOU HOW TO GET TO HEATER CORE.AND YOU NEED TOOL NO.155 8957 DISCONNECT THE HEATER HOSES FROM HEATER CORE.AND YOU NEED A TORX 20 SCREW DRIVER TO REMOVE SOUND PROOFING PANEL TO DASHBOARD SCREWS.

It is possible that he accidentally forgot to hook up a hose. You can look under the left side of the dash, and see if one of the ducts isn't seated properly.
Take it back to the mechanic. As long as you don't go in there screaming, he'll likely come out and take a look, and possibly even fix it right there in the parking lot.
