due to the awd you cant just jack up each wheel and spin it . when i road test for w/brg noise you listen for a slight whirring hum that increases and decreases with speed or sometime as you swerve back and forth you hear it as the vehical weight shifts side to side (right swerve left w'brg left swerve right w'brg) as a rule but not always . have a passenger sit in the back to help verify front or rear> dont guess and just replace one .
w'brg's come in three flavors cheap mid grade and premium.
the labour to change is the same. my advice dont end up paying for the labour twice buy the better or best , cheap parts cost more in the long run!

that depends on if you think the noise is coming from the motor, or the actual road noise that comes with driving , its probably the same at both speeds but sine you have less air and outside noise,, you hear it more at lower speeds. does it make the same noise when started but not moving? if you answer that yes, then its something else besides road noise, if it is no, then get your front end checked, it could be anything from a bad alignment to a bad wheel bearing, or bad brake ,

First thing i would try...... ISOHEET, Red bottle..... allows water to be mixed into the fuel and be burnt out of the tank.
get a good qaulity fuel injection cleaner, if you can locate the brand MALCO, i found it quite succesful..... and go with a full tank of premium fuel such as ammoco or shell......do not use yellow bottle of heet

timeing has slipped or cam broken

Find a quiet empty stretch of road. Go 50 mph, put the trans in NEUTRAL and shut the engine. If noise is still there, swing car left and right to detect noise differences. Could be hub or axle bearings. Not engine or trans if noise is still there. Hope this helps

you may try and check any of the exhaust hangers around the cab area if you can feel it in the floor board.
