I would check plugs and leads first call then look at fuel filter and supply and amps drain on fuel pump to see if correct

SOURCE: 1987 Buick Century - stalling out

I had a 1987 Century and when mine started acting like that I took it to a garage and they hooked it up to a computer tester for free. Is she getting the check engine light coming on? They found that mine was running (lean) which ended up being my fuel pump. Which is in the gas tank and can be pricey to get done, between $250-$350 and of course the filter would get done at the same time and that is only$20

SOURCE: My Buick Century with a 2.5L is stalling at lights

The TCC solenoid in the transmission needs to be replaced. This is a common problem that requires removal of the side cover of the transmission. You can unplug the wires at the front of the transmission and drive it until you get it fixed but you will not have over- drive lock- up convertor. This will result a drop in fuel mileage,

SOURCE: I have a 1987 Buick Century. That stalls out

I'm not Roger but can tell you this....if you have a bad crankshaft position sensor or a corrupt ECM....your car will do that.....last things could be the timing belt.

SOURCE: how do i set the clock in a 1992 buick century

To set the clock, check this procedure:
1. With the radio ON or OFF, press SET. The SET indicatore will appear on the digitas display for five seconds.
2. You must begin to set the clock to the correct hour and minute during those five seconds. Press and hold SCAN until the correct hour appears on the display.
3. Press and hold SEEK until the correct minute appears on the display.

Hope help with this, remember rated this post, and TY for using Fixya.

I have a 2007 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 with code P0017. Replaced both camshaft sensors, didn't help. Car runs but it runs rough and stalls out. It's getting worse and worse. What could it be?

P0017 is a code for a bad CRANKSHAFT position sensor. Try replacing that. It will probably fix the problem. They go bad quite often.

Car was parked and running and just killed on its own and will not start. does this sound like the fuel pump or maybe fuel filter?

If the battery is strong and charged, starter is fine, car ran okay while getting progressively worse until it died and won't restart now, might be fuel filter or pump. I've dealt with two cars with fuel filter issues. Both would idle fine, but run progessively worse under load and eventually die and not start although everything else checked out. Engine turned fast enought to start, battery strong, alternator fine, air cleaner clean, all that. No start. Changed fuel filters and done. Everything back to normal. Both cars were about model year 1990 (1989 and 1991). Replaced one in a parking lot and car fired right back up and powered on home just fine, whereas the week leading up to it it ran worse and worse, hesitated on acceleration and finally would die if you hit the gas. Fuel filter may be in engine compartment. Looks like a canister with an in and an out for fuel. Pump is in gas tank and is way more work and money. Good luck, hope this helps.

1991 Toyota land cruiser.. vibration, sputtering??

One of the plug wires may be arching or have a defective spark. It's odd, but I check mine by removing each plug wire one at a time. I'll use stick the end of a screw driver (insulated handle) in the plug wire and check the spark coming in from the coil/coil pack/distributor. Keep in mind, the engine is running and I only do this if there's no shop open or close by. Also the insulated handles are for that unwanted shock. Has he checked for sparks at night with the engine running. Look around and follow the plug wires and around coil/coil pack for any jumping sparks. If any are seen, there's your problem.

My 1999 Taurus needs a tune up will this cause the car to loose power? read if you don't get a tune up this will cause problems.

a tune up will help with getting you back the power you are loseing (plugs wires distributor cap rotor oil change and a filter and a fuel filter) the car will only continue to get worse untill it wont run any more if you dont give it a tune up

Misses, then runs decent. It seems to run worse in gear.

Wouldn't hurt to run some fuel injector cleaner through the system, get some for the tank. Also check for any vacuum leaks. Does it idle ok, or is it rough? How long has it been for replacing the distributor cap and plug wires? They will with age leak off high voltage, especially at critical times. A restricted fuel filter will rob you of power too.

04 cavalier makes grinding noise in front end turn the wheel to the right grinding gets worse turn the wheel to the left grinding stops. it sounds worse at 40mph and above. what would cause this?

3 things to check:
Worn disc brake pads, grinding against the rotor.
Wheel bearing
cv joint.
You posted grinding gets worse turning to the right, the problem is the driver side wheel, but it would be best to have both wheeles checked.

Runs very rough. Seems to get worse the longer I

You can try the local salvage yard to locate one for you. As for distance, you never know with electronics. It could be like that for an hour or a year or two. worst will not run the engine. Sorry for the bad news. Good luck
