You see that with a low or high volt problem or a bad battery. The battery is the most common and if yours is original then its due. Most batteries last 4-6 years before needing replacing. You can take this to any battery place or service shop and have them check the battery. If you have a volt meter you should see 11-12 volts and 13.5-14 volts when running. If you measure first resting then started voltages you can tell if the alternator is working ok by the running voltage. If it is working then the problem is the battery and the lower the voltage you see the worse it is.

SOURCE: clatter noise around water pump at idle

This is most likely the bearing in the water pump is on the way out. If it is you should replace it before it fails as you could end up with a blown cylinder head gasket (expensive)

No power to the A/c compressor 2003 mercedes c230


Are you sure? It is not fused and is feed directly from the front SAM(N10/1). Look for a blue wire with a green stripe that is all alone to a small connector at the front SAM(fuse box). Check for power at the SAM on that pin. If there is power at the SAM then the wire is either broken, you used a bad ground for testing or the ground may be bad. You can always ohm out the wire to make sure. it is the correct wire and it is not broken.

How to lubricate the kompressor on the 2004 c230


This is an estimate if the compressor was not drained. First, there are differences in the weight or viscosity of the oil for compressors. It works just like the weight of engine oil. You need to find out what was used on your vehicle. Many people DO NOT know about this with compressor oil.

Next, there are small containers or pressurized cans of oil which are introduced into the Freon system using A/C ports. There are oil-only containers and there are mixed Freon-oil containers.

Pressure is a concern. Some of the volume in the system will be displaced by the oil. If your system is low on Freon, then a mixed can with Freon and oil would be better. If the pressure is normal, you may be able to squeeze a little oil into it without making changes to the Freon.

If the pressure is too HIGH, then bleeding off a little Freon would be needed. There is usually only a small charge of oil in the system, something like 4 ounces. But this would be a complete fill. So unless you have a completely VOID empty system, you will not know what the oil level actually is when adding oil.

Release hood on 2003 c230 Mercedes


Pull the red lever under the drivers side dashboard-about where your left knee would be, sitting in the vehicle. The hood will pop up and a tongue will protrude through the front grille. Pull this tongue and at the same time, lift the hood.
