Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo LT 3.9L v6 and yesterday my battery died and so I replaced it and when I started it after replacing it my dash said Service Battery Charging System. Now I have replaced my battery in the past and this has never came up untill now. Any help or solutions would be helpful. Thanks

Hey first thing you want to do is make sure its getting fuel .. Try shooting a little gas into the air cleaner and crank it and see if it starts .. if it does your fuel pump might be the problem .. or use a little either instead of gas either will let you know if its a fuel problem .. sounds like to me that might be what it is. holler if you need more and thanks Jerry

Check all your fuses if you had a system failure it could have blown a fuse. I am not sure on your vehicle where the fuse is in the car or under the hood it could also have a relay. You can check your alternator by checking the voltage at the back of the alternator where the big wire bolts on. You should have 14+ volts at the alternator.

9 times out of 10 it is the factory amplifier. I had this same problem and it was the amplifier. Disconnect the amp located in the trunk by the speakers and see if the drain continues. You will not have music, but having the amp replaced with an aftermarket one will solve this problem,
