Question about 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab

Power steering not working.

Got stuck, let father in law in the seat, while I pulled with four wheeler, looked back, he had stomped it, broke driver side front axle and had the wheels cut as far as they would cut and power steering fluid went everywhere. Now since I replaced the axle and got unstuck the power steering does not work right and it still whines, it is showing full with fluid which I did add. No visible leaks anywhere, checked all lines. Does air in lines cause this, or pump bad, just need a solution.

91 Nissan altima bleed air power steering

If the power steering pump is a pressure/oil based unit then open the lid of the power steering pump and fill to the top. with the engine working turn the steering from lock to lock for a few minutes, two to three should be enough. Simultaneously, keep an eye on the fluid level so that it does not drop too far.se

Replaced rear drum brakes on 98 chevy cheyenne k1500 and brakes worked fine but e brake seemed way too tight, i didnt want to even try but my father in-law said aww its suppose to be that way so he pressed...

check the cable, if its corroded, rusted, the spring in the drum isnt strong enough to pull the cable back, to release the brake. You may need a new cable for the drivers side.

Drivers power seat pulling to one side

look carefully underneath the seat with a flash light ther is probably some junk stuck in the rail. if not you will have to unbolt the seat to see what is jumbing.the wole seat moves back and forth as a unit.

Driver seat not moving back and forth

under the seat is a thin wire that goes from one side to the other it has most likely broke you need to find the secondary lock it was connected to and release it to move the seat but you must also release the main lock so i suggest replacing the wire . THIS IS FOR MANUEL SEATS
now as for power seats you will have to locate the power lead wire and make sure it is not broke if so you can replace the connecter with an aftermarket one and it may work again

My 2001 astro lost it's brakes and power steering at the same time. any ideas?

check the power steering pump to see if the shaft broke. remove the belt and pull the pulley on the pump, it should not pull out of the pump. If it does you need a new pump

Drivers side power seat and steering column don't work

i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.

i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.

Driver side power seat front to back motor stuck forward

Take apart the drive box in front of seat track, on both sides with an allen wrench. You can then push the seat to get at the bolts to remove it. My trolley drive motor had bad brushes. I am now looking to replace the motor, if I can find the replacement.
