Is it drive by wire throttle..It wont have a throttle cable..If it is the throttle body will get dirty and cause that problem,,without codes..You can clean it throughly,,and disconnect the neg terminal on the battery,,to reset the computer..Wait 10 min before you reconnect the battery..If it has a cable,,Then it could be the idle air,,which also a lot of the times will not throw the engine light..
I has an 86 Mustang that did a similar thing and it turned out that the battery actually shorted out. This happens when one of the plates inside the battery brakes off and then touches another plate. When mine died it was like I turned the iginition off. It wouldn't turn over even with jumper cables.
My ford expedition 99 has service engine soon light on. Hooked up to ODB and the equipment showed nothing; no power; checked on different car worked fine. what is cause. Equipment has worked on another ford expedition before by the way.
