SOURCE: au III fairmont water leaking from bell housing

Oh Boy...Unless you happen to have a heater hose up above thats dripping down onto the may have a freeze plug popped out. Some engines have freeze plugs at the back of the block...and would be between the engine and tranny. Check with your local Dealer service department or engine rebuilder to determine if your particular engine has freeze plugs in this location

How do I replace the license plate lights?

I have a 2008 Equinox and it was a hassle to do on mine. The manual talks about removing 2 screws from the outside to remove the cover on each bulb. I was unable to get the old bulbs out. I then removed the plastic molding from the inside and the light sockets twist and pull out. The bulbs are easy to remove and replace then. The plastic panel inside just snaps out at several places. I had to loosen the back wiper motor
to get to one of them.

How do you replace the pvc valve in a 2005 chevy equinox?

On your Equinox you will need to remove the engine plastic cover that says Chevrolet 3.4L. You do this by disconnecting the electrical wire from the oil pump located on you left side and unscrew the entire oil fill spout. Then just remove the cover. On the bottom right on the valve cover you will see a metal bracket with a small hose coming out and going up to the intake manifold. Remove the hose and you will find the PCV Valve.

Where is the oil filter on a 2006 cobalt

Remove oil filler cap and dipstick. Pull up to remove large balck plastic engine cover. Tabs are at rear left and lower front right (facing engine). Large (1-1/16") Black plastic hex cap is cover for oil filter, fron of engine between motor and transfer case. Best to use special tool that fits 3/8" socket extension(about $12 - Search fro Lisle 14700 Wrench) since adjustable wrench doesn't fit well. Replace cartrideg and O-ring, then reinstall in reverse order.

Battery compartment?

The battery is supposed to be non-user servicable - it is on the divers side underneath the hood. There is a black plastic covering that you must remove. It will expose a pin which you use to jump start the car. Around that, you'll see 2 screws in a black plastic shell, remove that, and the battery will be exposed. You can replace the battery there.
