It most definately is the crank shaft sensor. same exact prob i had. it costs about 60 bucks and 3 minutes to replace yourself. one bolt holds it into the transmission bell housing and one connector wire. very simple fix. call off the wrecker. just have plenty of ratchet extensions available i had to go in from behind the transfer case to reach the bolt but it was still pretty simple to install.

Code 11 is related to the crankshaft sensor. This is a common failure.
Sensor is located on bellhousing on drivers side, even with the flywheel. Your symptom can also be related to a fuel problem which usually will set no codes or incorrect codes related to emissions etc.
I would go with the CPS at this point though. Fuel filter should be serviced at least once a year. Regardless of the outcome I would change it as a maintenence item.
good luck

Do you have a factory installed security system if so take your door to passenger door and turn twice should reset it you may have to take the panel off and look for a plastic device at the end of the door key mechanism may have fallen off i had this problem too changed out a battery did not know about the security feature it was that simple no fuel pump problem or sensor issues just a bs security feature mine is a 1994 limited 5.2L

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Orvis 5.2L V8 will crank but not start.

Fuel delivery is influenced by engine temperature sensor. (sometimes a seperate unit from gauge sensor). Since you did not mention any performance problems after starting or on hot re-starts, that's where I'd look first!
