SOURCE: I need a fuse box diagram for a 1988

Have you looked for a Chiltor or Haynes manuel on the vehical? They are sold at Checker auto parts and Autozones and Napas. Sometimes the have a diagram under the lid of the fuse panel cover as well. Thank you , Quinn Texada

Starter relay

I could not find one on my 1988 Camry either but if I read the shop manual correctly, there is no starter relay for cars with an automatic transmission. Cars with a manual transmission use a starter relay. There are other obvious errors in the shop manual wiring diagrams but this is what it implies.

1988 toyota camry replace brake switch, bulbs, and no power to switch

Did you check the Lamp failure switch box that is in the trunk on the driver side under the side panel . If you have the power anntani then there will be two2 boxes about an inch thick and about 4x5 in square it will say on them what they are . The yellow one that says" lamp failure " on it is the culprit . I found that you can jump the brake lights at this plug . If you do not have the proper tools to do this you WILL BLOW FUSES whene looking for the jump . Unplug the box and have a friend step on the brakes . Once you figure the jump path plug it back in and put a jump whire on it the lights will all work .

THE FAN TO THE HEATER WILL NOT WORK WE REPLACED ALL THE RELAYS AND CHECKED THE FUSES BUT STILL WONT WORK.... THIS IS AN 1988 TOYOTA CAMRY 4 CYL.

There is a resistor pack that is in the heater box next to the blower motor, this is what gives the different blower speeds. They some-times burn-out cutting off the power.

The radiator fan for a/c , toyota camry 88 do not work

check the fuses and relays for the fan under the bonnet in the main fuse box, try switching them around with another relay or fuse just to test out, if you still cant get anything use a test light or multi meter to check the wires going into the fan for continuity or voltage. follow the wires along to battery to check for breakages in it and connectivity on terminal.

1988 Camry 4cyl LE power loss on ACC to ON

The blower fan is powered by a 30 amp circuit breaker. Its in the box at the pass kick panel. Is it getting power through it? The blower relay is powered through the GAUGE fuse 7.5 amp. Check ALL the fuses. There is a 30 amp fuse that powers the ign switch also. If you get the blower working I think everything else will work.

Don't think the fuel pump is working, can't hear it, in a 1988 toyota camry.Where is the fuse or relay for it. Reply to amenjephra1@yahoo.com

Generally it is in the middle of the firewall under the hood near the windshield and generally has a fuse in it or relay. I don't have my info on that vehicle here so not sure. If there is a fuse box under the hood on the drivers side it could be in there as well.

Look at the wiring harness that runs along the hinge on the trunk lid, driver side. Camrys with lights on the trunk lid are know to break one of these wires.
