SOURCE: 1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

SOURCE: 2004 Audi A3 power windows and central locking

Yes they are on the same fuse. If changing the fuse doesn't fix the problem check the passenger footwell for dampness as water can get into the convenience control unit from a possible leaking pollen filter housing. If there is no dampness, the control unit could still cause this problem and it;s situated under the carpet in the passenger footwell.

One of the rear doors on my 2006 Audi A3 keeps setting itself to child's lock, so the door remains unlocked on the outside. What should I do?

You may have to replace the lock module on the door or the switch on the driver's side that locks the windows if they're connected to the child lock? Normally the child lock is a manual lever on the inside edge of the opened door.
Check your owner's manual. If the physical lever keeps moving you'll have to get inside the door and find out why it won't stay in position.

Central locking will not work on one door

95 times out of 100 the cause will be a faulty or broken lock actuator. Very common issue across a range of cars and the fix is to replace the actuator.

Locked my keys in my audi a3 and have'nt got a spare how do i get in? It also doesn't start a new starter was fitted that didn't work so a new earth was fitted still nothin! Why could this be?

hi,to open you can bend the door a bit on the top and someone else needs to take a wire and get the key or pull the door lever just dont bend the door to much.if this does not work a lock smith will come out and brake window so you can spare the money and do it your self there is no other way sorry.to come back to starter it can be a miss diagnoses and the problem can be your ignition switch.hope this helps.regards

How do I reset service computer warning Audi A3 2009

If you have a A3, 2009+ A4, 2005+ A6 or 2004+ A8, or a Q7 and are using the after market software:
Go to guided functions, go to service work, go to reset service light, or something of that nature, and follow the on screen prompts.

A3 window and cental locking fault

this could be a problem with the convenience control box aparently they suffer from water in and arround the area of the convenience control box First thing to do is lift the carpet and underlay in the passenger front footwell. then remove the plastic trims to make it easier.Locate a black plastic box and open it up to inspect the c/d/lock window control module. You may find it has water in it along with the wiring that runs along the floor to the n/s/f door pillar.Worth a look i suppose...hope that helps

Iv got a Audi A3 sport when i lock my doors my alarm sound straight away and when iv got my doors open its says my boot is open and sumtimes when driveing my rear window wipper will constint wipe and...

as for the alarm sounding and the boot open info it is probably a faulty boot contact, so the alarm thinks the boot is open therefore the circuit is open on the alarm , the car is thinking it has been broken into. it will also come up on the driver info that your boot is open too.
