Being a 95 and all the miles it should have on it, I would say the fuel pump is getting weak.

SOURCE: My 1999 dodge neon is overheating and just changed

Last time I had this problem I had a cracked head. With the cap off the radiator, run the engine at idle to operating temperature. When your looking in the radiator you should see the water circulating if the water pump is working. When you say the motor is over heating, if you have fluid coming out of the over flow hose then yes you are most likely overheating, if you are just seeing the gauge indicate you are over heating you may just have a bad engine temp sensor.

SOURCE: change a water pump on a dodge neon

If I'm not mistaking you need to get to the timing belt and remove it cuz the water pump goes in the timing belt.

Got 2000 dodge neon will start when cold run good but when motor warms up won't start

Nikki is the engine light on, are there any codes, have you had a tune up or any other work done lately.when you say it won't start when warm(do you mean engine will not turn over, or does engine turn and refuses to fire.
If I had to guess failing fuel pump, they tend not to build fuel pressure when ran a while(warmed up) and when left to cool build somewhat better pressure.

Why does my 93 Honda Accord run fine and then dies going down the road and will start again and die again?

There is a black fuel relay way up under the top left driver side dash that breaks its main wire solder connections on the circuit board under over-heat conditions. Resolder that relay. Starting fluid will show that you have lost fuel delivery under no start conditions. You can use the breather hose from the valve cover for this test.

run fault codes and check for cam/crank position sensors fault. Check that the cam is turning as it may have broken a timing belt.

2001 dodge neon leaking water from water pump i was driving n it felt like my car went into neutral n engine lite came on n it died it will turn over but won't start what do i check

well to me it seems like you have either a intake manifold leaking or head gasket leaking also which is causing coolant to go into motor.check the oil and see if it looks milky or overfull.

I was going to replace my timing belt for 2001 dodge neon r/t and the mechanic says I have to replace the water pump as well. Is this correct?

The water pump is driven by the timing belt. Do you have to replace it? No. Is it smart to do so as long as your already paying for most of the labor to replace the timing belt? Yes. Worst case scenario is you don't relace it and then 6 months later it starts leaking or the bearings go bad and you will have to spend the money to pull the timing belt agiain to replace the pump. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L 4wd this is the first time its happened to me I was drivin down the road and it just died and never started back, I put a new fuel pump on but I found out that its not...

did you install the fuel pump yourself? no offense, but maybe the fuel lines are cross connected or there is no power to the pump. Sit in your truck with the windows up and turn on the ignition on and off. Listen for the fuel pump running, have somebody do that while you listen in on it from the outside, if its too faint. check your wires and fuses. over time weird **** just happens. good luck

Check the Transmission Dipstick OIL level to ensure the level is up to the FULL mark. A low oil level will be insufficient to keep the drive engaged as the system gets hot, and will eventually damage the internal gearing, and also the seals.

more than likely the radiator went and has affected the transmission lines thus the car will not start.happend to me and all the trans fluid had leaked down the road the car stalled and then overheated would not move .only saw coolant not trans fluid since it drip out on the road prior to stalling.another option is the water pump or center freeze plug our had rusted through before and was a hassle to replace
