Hi, Iam working on this Cadillac catera 6 cylinder 3.0 .Has p0302 error code. Checked compression,its 200 psi,I switch spark plug to cyl 4,switch fuel injector to cyl 1,and still the code p0302. My cuestion is: Do you think the problem is the coil pack?.Or what do you think is next.Please help.Thanks.
Try switching coils and see if problem follows coil. Same with plug wires, try switching wires.

The problems you are describing indicate to me that you likely need to replace the coil pack that runs from the spark plugs ,and the plug wires end up at it.It also may be the spark plug wires,get a water bottle and spray the wires after dark and if you get a light show from them then replace them,if not,replace the coil pack.

Did the engine light go on, and you got a miss-fire code? If so, 1st check spark plugs (which u did), then plug wires, if that's not it, the injectors would be next. Let me know how u make out

Hi, I would check for a vacume leak around your intake manifold #1 cylinder runner. You can check by using a stethescope with a small piece of brake line in the end of the hose or spraying propane around the intake. If you hit a vacume leak the RPM will drop. Vacume leakes normaly cause a higher RPM at idle.

These coils are together,they come marked,driver side 2,4,6,its only one pack of 3 and no wires.I dont know if can switch driver side on to the other side.Autozone or ebay ask for side 2,4,6 or 1,3,4.I have to check tomorrow afther work.THanks.

Yes, are to spencives but I found one on car-parts.com for 12 bucks,I called this moorning ,they have it $25 dls incluide shipping.Its not to bad to try it.I think its the next step to do.Thankyou very much.If works I'll let you know.Thanks.
