Could be the gauge on the dash or the sending unit on the engine.
A mechanic would test the sending unit first.

How do you replace the oil pump on a 2001 Chrevrolet Tahoe?

no, but look at the following video just to remove the pickup tube from the pump to the oil pan:

then you have to remove EVERYTHING in the front of the engine since it's behind the crankshaft pulley as seen on the following pics on the link i'm posting

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe .A light keeps coming on that says oil pressure is low. Stop the car. I took it to a local shop that checked the pressure and they said it was fine, but the instrument clust

The guage could be bad and losing connection triggering the message. My dads Tahoe reads low oil pressure but the sensor connection or stepper motor that moves the guage could and have had a history of being faulty.

My guages stopped working in my 02 tahoe

Chevy recommends the use of any oil approved by the American Petroleum Institute and 10W 30 if the temperature is above 0. If below 0 5W 30 is the best.----------------------------------------------------------------------

My 2001 chevy tahoe acts like its not getting gas. It will start but no go anywhere and die when you give it gas. The check oil pressure light came on when it died today. It started after I had my oil...

I would call the place that changed the oil. It is possible some rookie disconnected something. It is also possible for the fuel pump to be failing by coincidence.

Is there a huel reset on 2001 chevy tahoe

Sorry there is no fuel pump reset on the Tahoe. If you have no fuel pressure, check the fuses and relay, and wire harness to the fuel pump from the inside frame rail on the drivers side. If you can hear the fuel pump working, check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve and there should be 60 to 66 PSI, if you don't you can try checking for 12 volt at the fuel pump wire harness at the frame rail. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Fuel guage does not work 1999 Chevy Tahoe

the 100% for sure cause of this problem is the sending unit for the fuel guage, it is located in the gas tank. U may have to replace the fuel pump module to get the sending unit, as a rule they are one piece, if u have over 100,000 miles that is a good idea anyway.
