If it is an auto gearbox, there is no level sighter, you will get a warning when level is low but, it can only be filled by main dealer as it is filled under pressure. hope that helps. jonjo.

SOURCE: Battery drained completely BMW E90 2005 model

Connect your old battery with another battery from another car (WHILE KEEPING ALL CABLES CONNECTED ON BOTH CARS) just user a bridge cable otherwise you'll need. a code to reactivate your BMW again. Try now to start your BMW engine. Now go to the nearest battery dealer to change the battery WHILE KEEPING YOUR ENGINE ON, otherwise you'll need a code to activate your BMW again :)

Good Luck!

SOURCE: BMW E90 323I, ABS resetting.

hey hassa, if you swapped an ABS control unit from another vehicle, it needs to be coded to your vehicle. If your vehicle does not recognize the replacement vin, it will set a fault. also, make sure to have the ABS sensors calibrated after the control unit is coded. most dealers charge about 1hr labor to perform coding and sensor calibration.

SOURCE: BMW 325i BAD transmission fluid leak/gush

i have to admit without more detail it's hard to say.... my educated guess would be that one of the hoses to the transmission cooler has blow and needs to be replaced. do NOT drive the car till that is done.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus lx and the clutch pedal has no resistance on it and it will not go into gear. Please help I need this car to get to work

Check the clutch fluid level. It will be a small reservoir close to the brake master cylinder. If the clutch reservoir is empty, add fluid.( brake fluid ) You may have to perform a bleed procedure at the clutch slave cylinder attached to the transmission Pump the clutch pedal several times and have someone open the bleeder screw until fluid comes out and the clutch pedal has its resistance back

How do I check the oil level in slave cylinder for the clutch on 2006 chevy cobalt

First off, clutch hydraulics use ONLY dot 3/4 brake fluid, if you used any kind of petroleum product you have ruined the clutch master cylinder and clutch slave/actuator(GM's term)cylinder. The level is on the side of the reservoir. If you had to add fluid, you have a leak in the system, probably the slave cylinder first. A master cylinder leak would have fluid on the inside of the firewall, where the master cylinder is mounted(leaking at the back). You bleed clutch hydraulics as you would with brakes.

How to bleed the clutch on a 1996Nissan Maxima

Hi, have you looked for the slave cylinder on the bell housing (Gearbox) follow the pipe from the Clutch fluid reservoir down to it, there should be a bleed nipple usually 8mm possibly 10mm. Find a length of good rubber pipe which will slide onto the nipple, open the bleed screw and put the other end of the pipe into a jar or receptacle to catch fluid. Go back to clutch fluid reservoir take off cap and fill to brim.
Then wait until gravity feeds the slave cylinder, when drops of fluid are seen in the jar/receptacle close the bleed screw. Pump the clutch when you feel resistance hold the pedal down and get someone to open bleed screw, whilst still keeping clutch pedal down close the bleed screw. Keep doing this until your pedal operates with full pressure. KEEP AN EYE ON FLUID LEVEL in clutch master cylinder. When done top to the correct level and replace cap. Hope this helped.

Master/Slave cylinder issues, check fluid levels of brake fluid reservoir and bleed system where it attaches to the transmission.
Have someone push on the clutch pedal as you watch for movement of the clutch fork where the Slave cylinder attaches to the transmission. If the Fork moves then it is either bent or slipped off the throw-out bearing, the throw-out bearing is seized maybe, the clutch disk itself could be worn or the syncro-mesh teeth inside the transmission are worn from missing gears while shifting.

Sometimes the clutch pedal does not return, or sticks down, on my 1997 BMW Z3

You have air in the clutch system. Check the fluid level in the reservoir . Check for oil leaks at the slave cylinder ( replace if there is oil ) Have the system bled . IF you have fluid and the air comes back then replace the clutch master cylinder as the air will be bypassing the piston cup from blockages in the ports.

2002 BMW 325 will not drive in any gear

Hi well this could be a few things, is it auto? or manual? if it is manual then this could be the clutch is warn and needs replacing, or, you have a problem with the hydraulic clutch system ie a leak, or low fluid levels, to check low fluid levels, check the brake fluid reservoir as this also supply's the clutch top up if required, also check the prop shaft under the vehicle make sure the "doughnut" ( its a big rubber ring in the middle of the shaft) has not broken separating the 2 parts of the prop, to also check the clutch master and slave cylinder pump the clutch rapidly and see if it gets harder and then put in gear and see if it will drive , if it does then you might have air in the clutch system maybe a leaking cylinder, to check this, look under the dashboard where the clutch peddle is and see if it is damp on the carpet, this will be a leaking master cylinder and will need to be replaced, for the slave cylinder just check under the vehicle to see if either side of the gearbox is wet, this will be a leaking slave cylinder and will need to be replaced, ok that's for the manual type...for the auto type, you may have a torque converter fault it might be leaking and you have lost the oil in the transmission, there is no dip stick to see if it is low, any automatic transmission fault really should be checked by a BMW garage or main dealer..hope this helps please comment and vote thanks

No clutch pressure

check your clutch fluid level. This will be a small plastic container just like your brake fluid reservoir. Check the level. If it's to low or leaking. Repair the leak (exactly the same as a brake line) and bleed the line. You bleed the line by unscrewing the check valve and pressing the clutch pedal to the floor and screwing the check valve back in. Or it may be the plungers gasket. You should be able to take your clutch pedal off and pull the plunger right out. Or it could be a leaky slave cylinder. Go have someone at an Advance auto or an Auto zone tell you where all this is located. It's always good to have a parts store on your good side. Thanks for asking!

Clutch pedal low near floor, can the clutch be adjusted?

hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?
