Where is the oxygen sensor

It's on the rear exhaust manifold. You will need a oxygen sensor socket to remove it. If you are not saving it & tend to replace it, snip wires & use a normal socket. Saves the price of the special socket! Good luck!

My check engine light came on- need Oxygen Sensor

This is such a common problem that the oxygen sensor is the most sold car part out there. The cost for the part usually runs about $30-100 depending if you car calls for a heater oxygen sensor or not (heated is much more). The job of the oxygen sensor is to read the oxygen/fuel mixture and it reports back to the computer to adjust for fuel efficiency. It is not immediately necessarily to replace. If you go a very long time without replacing it (probably years) it could potentially clog your cat. converter. The bad sensor can make the car run a little lean or dry as mildly affect your fuel efficiency. When you have time you should find out if your car calls for a heater 02 sensor or a non-heater sensor (register your car on Autozone.com and see). If it is heated then you will need to replace the part, the non-heater sensors usually can last forever, they just need to be taken out to be cleaned with a wire brush and put back in. Good luck & if you have any other questions let me know. Thanks

It should be close to the muffler. You can change it however the engine must be warmed up in order to remove the sensor. If you change it make sure you use anti seeing commpound when you replace the sensor. Prices vary from $15.00 to $100.00. Check with auto store for price. Might get a better deal on Ebay.

Diagnostic codes

p1133 O2 sensor insufficent switching (pre converter, left bank)

p1153 ) 02 sensor insufficient switching preconverter right bank

P0420) catalyst system efficiency below threshold left bank

P0151) 02 sensor circuit high voltage pre converter right bank

and p1460 unfortunately I don't have handy..... But REALLY sounds like you need to replace the Oxygen sensors in front of the catalitic converters... There is dual exhaust coming from the engine to one muffler in that truck, there are a total of 2 converters and 4 O2 sensors (1 in front of converter and 1 behind it on both of the pipes) Front ones are definetely shot!!!! Be prepared to put the rear ones in shortly after!!!!! they are about $80 canadian each at the jobbers and probably more at the dealer!!!!!
