Ok well i was doing about 140 in 4th (around 6000 rpm's) trying to get this guy's license plate number and the make and model of his car to report him for DUI and Passing in an unsafe zone, so i stopped to report him i had a wierd idle can't really explain what it sounded like but when i left i had this like grinding sound in all gears and had like no power.... getting a block from my house i put in my clutch and it stalled out... so i rolled it home now when i try and start it sometimes it tries to kick over but doesn't make it, i got it to turn over twice the first time it ran... but it had a tinging to it and sounded like ****... excuse the language, anyways the second time i had a friend who has worked on cars before in it and when it tried to kick over it made a smashing sound and he said it was my valves smashing could i just need to reset my timing or did i actually F**k something up? Please help me it's my first car and i have no idea what to do lmfao thanks for any help guys just email me the response please... ty very much

ok if its hard plastic around you license plate lamp and it feels very brittle...the chances of breaking it is bout a 80 pecent chance when trying to twist it out..but in the mean time feel up to where the bulb is and grab the bulb with a little pressure but not too much pressure...then gently as u can twist it to unlock it from its assembly or if its a puller then gently pull it but it may take a little wiggling and it should come right out
the license plate because of its position gets a lot of dirt and water problems so i would go back and take another good look remove the bulbs again and see if you can clean the inside with a little sand paper or a little scrape with a small screwdriver then spray with a little sileacone oil replace bulbs. Then switch lights on they should be ok if not try moveing them slightly with your fingers they should light.please let me know how you get on.adrian
I'm not to sure what one you did want license plate light or the tag light up high above your back door. I know I am reading license plate so I will say the fuse needs to be replaced. plate lamps need 2 light bulbs and the fuse box is under the steering wheel or under the hood there are 2.
in my book it said that it is a (194 trade number), I woulds change out bulbs and then fuse.
