Question about 2000 Honda CR-V
Dip stick tube comes out when checking oil. now will not stay in at all. has a rubber gasket around it but you cannot see where it goes due to heat shield. Any ideas on how to repair and get to stay there?

SOURCE: Gearbox oil
there is no dip stick for the gearbox oil..there is a little rubber cover on a little tube sticking out of the gearbox housing. remove the rubber cap and fill through there.

make sure they are tight
could be time for head gaskets
make sure the old gasket from the old filter came off the block sometimes they come off old filter and stick this causes a leak due to improper seal.

Sounds like fuel in oil obviously. Don't run it until you cure problem !! You may have a an injector leaking down or something. If your fuel is mixing with oil, it's just a matter of time before it seizes if you keep running it. Has it had starting problems lately?
