04 Chevy Trailblazer HVAC Blower Problem

I have an 04 Chevy Trailblazer and I am having trouble with the HVAC blower. The car has Auto / Dual Climate Control. The blower will come on sometimes and sometimes not, mostly not. Sometimes it will stay on after I shut the car off. I have to then pull the blower fuse and wait a few seconds then it stays off. Sometimes if I play with the Mode, Auto, Off, Blower Speed Switch and the Temperature Setting Knob I can get it to come on. I believe that it is is in the main control unit itself but I am not sure. Is this something that is common? Is it worth it to buy a dealer new unit or would a salvage unit be a good gamble?

This is the first time I have heard of this problem. It's not to say it's not common. Try the salvage yard first obviously cause its cheaper. If problem presists contact the dealer for advice.

Missing variable control voltage on the blower fan control module on a 2008 Buick lucerne

What are you using to test this control signal ? Were you on right wire ?
Blower Motor Control Processor The blower motor control processor is an interface between the HVAC control module and the blower motor. The blower motor speed control, battery positive voltage and ground circuits enable the control processor to operate. The HVAC control module provides a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to the control processor in order to command the blower motor speed. The processor supplies 12 volts to the blower motor through the blower motor voltage supply circuit. The control processor uses the blower motor ground as a low side control to adjust the blower motor speed.

Chevy Trailblazer EXT Blower Motor Won Turn Off The blower motor in this video don't shut off , but he show's how to test the PWM signal right !
Your blower motor control module is probably bad , or HVAC control panel is bad , or a wiring problem !

Where is HVAC blower relay located on my 2005 TrailBlazer LS.

I had a TrailBlazer 2003. This is a very common replacement with the TrailBlazer. A fairly simple one as well. You will have to unscrew the plastic kick guard (two screws) underneath the glove box compartment to find the HVAC blower. Good luck! http://aaaeinc.com/hvac/

WHERE IS THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR LOCATED ON A 2006 EDDIE BAUER EXPEDITOIN? mY A/C AND HEAT WILL ONLY BLOW ON THE HIGH SETTING. IT HAS CLIMATE CONTROL AND DUAL CONTROL FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER...

I found this wiring schematic at: http://www.f150online.com/forums/articles-how-tos/385953-replace-04-08-fan-blower-motor-resistor-emtc-hvac-3.html
It looks like it is located under the dash on the passenger side, and appears to be pretty close to the blower motor. The resistor or controller is different if you have a climate control system vs. a manual temperature control.
Here is a possible picture of the climate control module:

Im having a problem finding the right resistor at the parts store. They all say for a 1995 explorer but it doesnt work with my female plug. Any suggestions?

Looks like the automatic climate control uses a five pin blower motor resistor or controller. I would guess that the parts store has supplied you with a three or four pin that is for the manual HVAC.

The auto HVAC blower control module looks like a dealer part only. I show a part number 19E624 and it look like it retails for about $250. airjer995_35.jpg

Fan blower will not turn off then I pulled the j-fuse and the motor stopped but will not work anymore

Does your trailer blazer have auto hvac ? If so than the most likely cause is the blower motor control module /resistor.
