Question about Nissan Altima
WINDOW IS IN ITS TRACK. ALL OTHER WINDOWS OPERATE. WINDOW WAS LOWERED BUT WILL NOT GO UP. THE MOTORS FOR ALL OTHER WINDOWS CAN BE HEARD WHEN SWITCHES ARE OPERATED. THERE IS NO SOUND AT THE MOTOR WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW SWITCH IS ACTIVATED.

REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL TO GET TO THE WINDOW MOTOR. REMOVE THE CONNECTOR ON THE MOTOR. LOOP A TEST LIGHT FROM BOTH TERMINALS. WITH THE KEY ON AND BOTH SWITCHES IN PLACE, CHECK TO OPERATION OF THE SWITCHES. IF THE LIGHT COMES ON IN BOTH DIRECTION THE WINDOW MOTOR IS BAD.
THERE IS A CIRCUIT BREAKER BUILT INTO THE WINDOW MOTOR. SOMETIME HITTING THE MOTOR WITH MAKE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER RESET BUT THE MOTOR WONT LAST LONG DOING THAT.
ALSO TRY PULLING DOWN ON THE WINDOW WHILE TRYING THE SWITCHES. THE WINDOW COULD JUST BE STUCK. THIS HAPPENED TO ME.

I doubt the motors going out if it's still responding with noise when you press the button I'm having the same issue and I did some investigation and found that the windows run on a pulley system with allot of moving parts including cable much like the one's on most bike's and some times this cable might fall into the wrong slot on the motor winding spool causing the cable to entangle and on some occasions break and cause a nasty mess of a tangle to contend with hope this helps and good luck .....

lube the window guides with silicone spray, if that doesn't do it then ou will need to pull the door panel and see what is worn out.
