Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Answer

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee wont start

My jeep will not start, we thought that it was the battery cables, so we changed the cables and then we ended up getting a new battery but it still will not start. At first it would click but now it will not even do that. My gages on the panel are going crazy even with the key out. Any thoughts? I would appreciate anything.

Check and see if the cables are hooked up right to the battery then check your cables see if there is a ground off some where, Last check to see if the new battery is bad

2003 jeep grand cherokee , first time jeep wont start and the no key light is on. Do the keys that have the chips in them need to be replaced from time to time?

no. those chips does not need to be reprogrammed in time. (it is supposed)
go to dealer and ask them to reprogram your whole antitheft system(immobilizer too)
plus put new batteries to your keyless remote controller.

My 2003 Jeep Gr. Cherokee will not start, not even an attempt to do so. Also there are no interior lights or power locks. ANY thoughts?

Undo the bonnet, look to the right, are the battery leads connected? if they are, put some jump leads on it (using another car, making sure the other vehicle is running) then try and open the doors and start it.

Wont start

I had a similar problem with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It turned out that the battery posts and cables were corroded. I cleaned them up and it solved the problem immediately. Something to check on before you spend the money on a new battery anyway!
