How do i remove the starter out of a 1999 chevy cavalier?

To remove it you have to take the intake off and its located infront of the motor near the middle right side from front view, there are 2 bolts holding it on, one going from the tranny to the starter and one from the starter to the tranny make sure you disconnet your bat. so you dont fry it.

try locking your car with the key and unlocking it with the key, leave it for 30 second or so between the locking and unlocking , the car thinks some one has tampered with it

the battery wire goes driectly on the large post of the starter along with all the wires that have fuse links on them the smaller wire goes on the small bolt on the starter..

Alternator problem


one cavalier i worked on had a loose wire on the starter solonoid where the battery lead is hooked. have also had corrosion and broken wires on other gm cars do the same thing

How to put front breaks on a 1999 chevy automatic cavalier


Place the bike on a stand, disconnect the cable, remove the wheel, set the wheel brake side up, use the bolt slightly inserted in the drum, or two oposing screw drivers around the drum to pull it from the wheel. Once pulled, remove the springs and shoes,lightly sand the inner drum on the wheel, install new pads and springs, spray both drums with brake clean, reassemble drums and wheel, install the wheel, and then adjust cable tension and brake pressure at first the wheel, and then at the bars. Test and readjust as needed.
