Question about 2001 Hyundai Elantra
I'd take it to a few shops that do front end alignments and get a couple of estimates. Usually both strut springs do not fail at the same time. The struts are just shocks so thats out. Not much can drop both sides at the same time.
Have you actually measured the sides to see if the front is lower ? Or has a panel or object dropped and is now very close to the ground while the car is still more or less at normal height ??

how it sounds that your muffler is loose or your bushings are wore out on your shocks. then front it could be your shocks or your bushings on the front suspinsion is getting weak or the ball joints need to be greased or replaced.

That's a hub bearing. Replace the one that's doing it. I'm assuming this 'roar' is coming from the front, NOT the rear.
