Do compression check,if all cylinders are within 10 psi your O.K.. Also check oil filter for water (milky) or oil change and check radiator fluid level for any loss. If all is good it could just be from water in the air.

Take all your spark plugs out and do a compression test on it if you have a repair manual the specs are in there if there is low pressure in any of them you have a blown head gasket

It could just be some sort of condensation. I would clean the oil cap well and drive it for a few days. Then check it again. If its a coolant leak it will not go away. I would eliminate the easy stuff before you tear into it.

How much oil does 1990 toyota 4runner Diesel 4x4 take after oil change

IF you have also changed the filter then add 4.5 litres of oil and check level after running engine for 20 seconds or so. Top up as needed.

4runner overheatin

overheating is usually a sign of a loss of coolant. check your hoses, your radiator, and your thermostat housing. if you aren't leaking coolant through those, check your oil for signs of a white/milky look to it, and the texture of a melted milkshake. if your oil looks like that, you have a blown head gasket, or a warped head.

1990 Corolla started shaking after I accelerated rapidly (gunned the engine)

White smoke coming out of exhaust is water vapor. Blue is oil burning and black is carbon from unburned fuel.
U have water or coolant leaking into your combustion cylinders - not a good thing. Probably blown head gasket.

Check your oil - if it like a brown mud then the coolant has also gotten into the lubrication system.

I have a 91 toyota 4runner and I think my headgasket is blown. I would like to try other things before assuming that is the problem. THere is no water in the oil and there are some weird electrical pr

in the past there was a compain from the dealer about bad head gasket they had to replace both head gaskets with updated gaskets does the engine run rough for a few sometime smooth out? if so the gaskets are blown you need updated gaskets.is there alot of steam coming from the exhaust? another sign of blown head gaskets. how many times do you need to fill the radiator? you can also pull spark plugs from each cylinder and find the cleanist plug in that cylinder thats also a sign of blown head gasket in the area of the cylinder head all fluid goes out the tail pipe thats why you have to fill the radiator

1997 Toyota Truck 4 Runner 4WD 3.4L EFI DOHC 6cyl, blown head gasket?

Could be a blown head gasket. You might also need to "burp" the system. When the vehicle is completely cooled down, try taking the radiator cap off, topping off fluid, and start the engine. That should help get air out. If it starts bubbling and shooting coolant out, something is wrong. You could also try running without the thermostat or just go ahead and replace it. They aren't usually expensive.

My 1990 TOYO. 4RUNNER V6; Oil is getting into Distributor. Oil vapor get into my Distributo and melts my rotor and Dist. cap. Please help.

Check the Distributor shaft for any sign's of play. If play is present, you have (1) of (2) choices :
(1) Relace Distirbutor
(2) Have Distibutor rebuilt
There is a seal in the distibutor that will wear and cause oil to get inside of the Distributor.

Also check to see if your vacum advance Diapham is broken, that will cause oil to get inside the distributor as well.
To do the test, connect a vacum hose to the vacum advance(that's the round thing on the side of the distributor),you can suckon it see if it hold's vacum or you can purchase a hand held vacum pump.

Lastly, are there ANY other line's attached to the Distributor ?

More than likely, check coolant resevoir for oil, check for heavy white smoke coming from exhaust and do a compression test.

White fumes in the engine oil filler cap

Sounds like you have blown the head gasket when it got overheated.. The white stuff in the oil cap is emusified oil, a bit like mayonnaise.
You will almost certainly need to replace head gasket and service the cylinder head.
