Start the vehicle, shift transmission to nuetral. then move the 4x4 shifter to the 2wd position. then shift the transmission into reverse and back up a few feet straight, then drive forwards. it should be out of 4x4.

G'day my courier is a 4x4 my light on my 4x4 light is flashing on and off is it just a senser can't tell if in 4x4 mode or not just keeps blinking the whole time

Refer to owners manual and video under troubleshooting if that does not work almost all auto part stores have hand held computers to check your sensor which they will give you a print out telling you the possibilities if its always done this it could just be telling you that the 4x4 is engaged

The answer to all your questions is, no we can not, because
this is a chat room only,we are at home like you & use the
internet as you can,no one is at fix ya answering questions
Just a social web site, something to do

You need the shop that worked on it, to continue on

They should have keep it & gotten the required reference
material your asking for here, wiring diagrams & such

Your asking for a info that shops pay for by subcription or
we pay hundreds for the factory manuals to work on our
vehicles

Also only the proper testing will uncover a vehicle fault

There is no guessing or someone had the same problem
Every job is a fresh start regardless

Again the shops people go to should have the material to
become familiar with the vehicle before any work or testing
starts,no one knows it all

As a customer you do not need to help them or give them
any materials, parts numbers etc, that is their job & why your
paying them

4x4 malfunctioning

some times the truck has to be put in the opisite direction the for wheel drive was driven in last. so if ya were going forward and you have auto locking hubs then you need to drive irt backwards till lights go out. and if you have driven a long way with it like that then you might have to back up far but it should unlock those hubs. if not then on transfer case there is a small motor that engages and you will need to remove that motor and manually move selector to 2h.

New to 4x4

Best way to engage 4x4 that I've found is to keep the vehicle rolling at 15-30mph and just engage 4 high. Generally, you don't need 4low unless in extreme conditions (pulling stuff etc) It gets about as much use as driving in 1st gear with a passenger car with auto trans! When disengaging, do the same... generally does not disengage for a few yards, but it will eventually! There is usually a brief summary on inside of sun visor. you can usually find a owners manual in scrap yards, if they let you check glove boxes.Unless you buy a shop manual, if you have ever driven anything, there is pretty limited info in them, but still a good "quick reference" for simple stuff.
