Question about 1999 Cadillac Seville STS
Just had brake pads replaced and mechanic supposedly reset the warning light twice...but it still comes on. Is there a way for ME to reset this warning light?, or must it be done by a mechanic (i.e. equipment required)? Thanks.
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Try disconnecting the battery fo at least 60 seconds, this will manually re-set the computer. It will sometimes take a day or so for the light to go out. If it has ABS find a dead end street and get up to 40-45 MPH and slam on the brakes and check that everything is ok. That's the only way to properly check and not endanger any people. Good luck.

lights usaly come on when there is a system fault. check for a broken or chiped wheel speed sensor ring, or a damaged wheel speed sensor. try disconecting the negative battery terminal for a few seconds to reset lights
