When iI spoke to hyundi about fitting hid conversions to my Tuson I was told that the engine management system would need updating and a special unit fitted called an ignitor to each headlamp....? I never bothered as the cost was extortionate.

SOURCE: 2006 Sonata, first the low beam head lights went

this sounds very suspicious it is possible all the light just brunt out BUT very unlikely check fuses and test lights if lights or fuses are bad ? then test alternator volt regulator that it is not putting out too much volts not over 15v if that is OK then their is A short ! fore short you will need A weiring schematic PS. let us know please.

SOURCE: Hello, My Hyundai will not

check on the fuse box, am sure that a starter fuse is blown. the alternator might be the causer. as you said you changed it not so long. When you find out the fuse are ok, check also the solnoid wire on the starter motor beside the main wire, when that is good then might be the carbon brushes are won need to be replaced

Drl module

This might not be much of an answer,, But why do you think your DRL is ,gone,,, Do you have HIDS? led tail lights or after market bulbs anywhere in you running lights system, such as turn signals front or rear marker lights corner lights etc, if you do have Hids or leds,, and you didn't put in resistors in line with the lower wattage led bulbs you car can throw the drl light, like turn it on., and with daytime running lights you will short out the hids, since they are not meant to run at say 4 volts like the factory non hid ones that are dim when the running lights are on.... I don't know if my answer will help you but I hope it does.. good luck

You could have a fuel pump getting weak or fuel pump relay. One other thing to look into is the oil press. switch malfunctioning or loose connection. The fuel pump/relay get's it's power through this on some GM vehicles. If you have a haynes manual look at it's wiring diagram to verify.

Hid light not turning on

the part about the lights that won't turn on may be because there is a blown fuse or a broken relay which needs to be changed, the part about the hid lights there may be a short circuit somewhere.

You have to bypass the Daytime Running Light (DRL) feature. If you are good with soldering and know how to work with resistors and capacitors, you can EASILY fabricate your own bypass. Check out:

This is a forum that I actively moderate. I have tried option 3 which allows you to turn off your headlights completely and it works perfectly. Definitely the best option.
