Question about 1996 Dodge Dakota
After it stalls the check enging light won't go on. It has happened several time now the irst time I took it to two repair shops first could not get it started, had it towed by flatbed to secong shop and it started when they got it off the flatbed. I have replace3d the ECU and the ingnition coil pick up. When you shake the wires it sputters, or if it;s not starting you shake the wires it starts. Very frustrated with this problem. Since replacing the ignition pick up I have loosened the harness and when shaking the wires it was fine but I need to drive it 25 miles to work one way. Not sure what to do I have exhuasted every
option within my abilities. Any suggestions would be helpful.
You probably have an open in a wire where you are shaking them. How many wires are in the loom your shaking? If not many it may not take long to diagnose. I there are a lot of wires and it looks overwelming you may want to consider getting another harness from a salvage yard.
