Question about Cars & Trucks
Hi, when i start the vito and for some reason it doesnt start the first time, the instrumentation work for about 5seconds and then dies, no instrumention lights, no speedo, no fuel, no rev meter, no fan for the ac, no indicators and no low beam on the headlights, if i start it a coupe of times again then it stays on, also, the steering lock doesnt always disconnect when i put the key in the ignition, also have to do that a couple of times before it releases, could it be a faulty relay or faulty ignition? i dont have a spare key anymore so i cant test that, any help would be appriaciated, if possible, a fuse box layout diagram would also help. thank you

SOURCE: Day time running light problem
The problem with the DRL issue describd in the above posts is the DRl module(it needs to be replaced). The buzzing relay and intermittent on/off of passenger side DRl are indicators that the module needs to be replaced.

My power locks, windows didn't work and the dome lights would not turn off after closing the door. I removed the black boot that was attached to the drivers door by lifting upward and pulling away from the door. A heavy gauge black wire was broken. I removed about 3/16" of insulation from both ends of the broken wire and connected them by using a connector that both ends are placed in to and then "crimped" both ends so the broken wire made contact with each other and everything worked perfectly! The hardest part was replacing the boot. Total cost to fix is $0.50.

No he's got wrong, but he's right respectively iun certain situations, but, n13 pulsars dashes (along wth old pintara and skyliones as far as I know) have a little nylon cog inside the fascia that run you odometer that breaks, because of the high demand because a lot of them break you can buy the little cogs off ebay for a couple of dollars and if you wnat to repair it yourself go for it or you can get a professionalto open her up and re install the new one for you

Have you checked out the switch itself? Seems like the problem might be there.
If the lamp bulbs are sill intact, that's probably the most likely solution. There's a possibility you have a short somewhere in the switch relay that will allow the highlights to turn on but not the low beams.
