SOURCE: Where do I add power steering fluid?

The power steering pump is in the front of the engine. You will see the serpentine belt on the pulley and it will look something like htis picture. The pump has a resevoir with a cap on top which is removable and has a dipstick built in to tell you how low you are on fluid.

Look for the belts, There should be a device with a large pulley wheel, and an Oil fill cap (also dipstick). That will be the Power steering pump and the fill location.

Into the power steering fluid reservoir. If you cannot see it, follow the hydraulic lines up from the power steering gear, it is above mounted to the engine on the accessory drive area.

2002 Buick LeSabre steering noise when turning left-what could it be?

The whine is an indicator the power steering unit is low in most cases. If the fluid is at the proper level then the power steering pump is most likely going out.

Where and how to check power steering fluid level on the 2002 LeSabre

The power steering reservoir is in the front of the motor right up against the firewall about half way down. It could be a bit difficult to reach. It's easier, and less painful, if you wait for the motor to cool off before you check it.
