SOURCE: when shall I change the oil filter for my C230 Kompressor

If the plugs have never been changed at 140,000 you should change them. Spark plugs nowadays last about 100,000 miles. The fuel filter should be changed every 10-15,000 miles. Also everytime you do an oil change you should check the air filter.

2000 Mercedes c230 Kompressor I have water leaking into the oil but I did not overheat the motor and it happened all at once I'm wondering could it come from the front engine cover

Water in the oil is nearly always a sign of a blown head gasket, not a front cover. You don't have to overheat to cause it.

Oil in coolant problems on my 2001 cadillac catera?

Sounds like the head-gasket blew and allowed oil into the coolant and coolant into the oil. Unfortunately, it's time for a tear-down and rebuild of the engine.

I have oil in my coolant resevoir

Hmm try changing the oil, flush and fill the radiator. Then see if the contaminant comes back into the resevoir. If you have a cracked, block/head or a blown head gasket the envoy would have white or blue exhaust coming out and would be overheating since oil retains heat. Some other tell tale signs are little steam will come out of your oil filler when u open it.Your oil looks like chocolate milk instead of regular oil when u check it. Try a compression or a leak-down test to find out if your head gasket is blown. Pull the spark plugs see how they look.

(Contaminated water from rust or mineral? dont use tap water when mixing with the anti freeze)

Hope all this helps you

Oil mixing in resevoiur

the most common fault for this is the oil cooler, where the oil filter screws on ,these fail inside and allow oil and water to mix, usually in the coolant system, not a big job or cost to fix, unusual for head gaket to blow on these engines.I worked with Audi for 15 years and cannot remember any A4's that had a head gasket issue.

How to lubricate the kompressor on the 2004 c230

This is an estimate if the compressor was not drained. First, there are differences in the weight or viscosity of the oil for compressors. It works just like the weight of engine oil. You need to find out what was used on your vehicle. Many people DO NOT know about this with compressor oil.

Next, there are small containers or pressurized cans of oil which are introduced into the Freon system using A/C ports. There are oil-only containers and there are mixed Freon-oil containers.

Pressure is a concern. Some of the volume in the system will be displaced by the oil. If your system is low on Freon, then a mixed can with Freon and oil would be better. If the pressure is normal, you may be able to squeeze a little oil into it without making changes to the Freon.

If the pressure is too HIGH, then bleeding off a little Freon would be needed. There is usually only a small charge of oil in the system, something like 4 ounces. But this would be a complete fill. So unless you have a completely VOID empty system, you will not know what the oil level actually is when adding oil.

I hope my solution is helpful to you.

I have swamp green coolant in resevoir tank, looks like oil mixed w/ coolant, can smell it when truck is heated up. 1999 F250. How do I fix it? How do I know if it is a head gasket problem and if it is,...

Check the oil dipstick and see if antifreeze is in the oil, you can do or have done a compression test of the cylinders and that will tell you if you have a blown head gasket, it is not a cheap fix, and if it is a blown head gasket continuing to drive it this way can result in a siezed engine.

How can I tell if I have a blown head gasket and how hard is to replace?

Depends on how it blows. Can cause oil to mix in coolant or coolant in oil. Can also let coolant into cylinders to cause steam in exhaust. Or, combustion gas into coolant--this will cause overheating. You can tell this one from other types of overheating by noticing bubbles coiming into the coolant reservoir or up the radiator with the cap off. Let us know if you have more questions.

Diesel in coolant resevoir

you could have a blown head gasket, have a compression check done to see if there is any low cylinders,

a head gasket failure does not always allow water to get into the oil, the failure point can also be between the water jacket and the cylinder bore
