Now when you say it will not come on like nothing is there/blank screen? If that is the case then you have a power/bad radio problem. check the fuse first.
Now if it comes on and is askign for a code then sorry to say you will need to call a dealer or have someone that works at a dealer get that for you. Most dealers are pretty good about giving it to you. just write down your VIN number and call the service of one. If they will not give it call another dealer. I had to do this when I bought my Saab. First dealer would not give it and wanted money. The 2nd gave it to me and I ended up buying my parts from them for that very reason.

IT MEANS THAT A FAULT HAS OCCURED IN THE SYSTEM AND THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN DISABLED, TO FIND THE FAULT YOU MUST HAVE THE DEALER TEST IT FOR THE TROUBLE CODE THAT IS STORED WHEN THE LIGHT STAYS ON.

FIRST MAKE SURE THE BATTERY HAS A FULL CHARGE !! IF NOT YOU WILL BE ASKING HOW TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR ! IT MAY BE BEST TO HAVE SAY PEPBOYS DO IT.. I KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT BUT .. REMEMBER (ALTERNATOR) $$$$ a low battery can overwork your ALTERNATOR and burn it up ! after you have installed the battery check the power should be about 15 volts . did i help hit feedback +

The coolant light means the car is low on coolant. You must have a small leak somewhere. Go to your Cadilac dealer, or an auto parts store and get a gallon of anti-freeze (coolant), mix 50-50 with water. Somtimes you can buy it premixed, but it usually costs more. Put a jug of it in the trunk and add some when the light comes on. The owners manual should show you how to do that, or have someone at the dealership show you where and how to add the coolant. You may want to have a mechanic check it for leaks.
