Left and right brake lights don't work, but all other lights do including the middle brake light. Mechanics have checked the brake pedal switch and it is working. Dealer wants to replace the whole assembly, says connectors have melted and/or are bent. I have bought 2 tail light assemblies over the past 2 years. Now I have the same problem again. Any ideas????

Both brake lights are out. Cyclops light works, all other lights work.  I replaced the bulbs, obviously, didn't fix it.  I checked with a meter and I'm getting only 11 volts at the brake light assembly.  I checked at the fuse and there is 12.2 volts.  I'm suspicious that there is an electronic relay that's gone bad, but I don't know where it would be. And it can't be the same one that powers "cyclops".  Mysterious.

Keeps blowing off parking light fuse. Blinker & brake work but no parking light or off tail light

if you have just replace a tail light bulb check that it was the right bulb as the problem is a dead short
one bulb type has 2 contacts and the other has 1 contact which if placed in the wrong holder will short out the circuit and blow the fuse

1994 Chevy C1500 truck. No rear brake lights

Most likely this is a brake light switch issue. Replace switch.

If your emergency flashers don't work, all flasher bulbs are fine, but flashing too fast, then check and replace Hazard light switch.

My brake lights and rear blinkers are not working. I have replaced the bulbs in both brake lights. What next?

most blinkers uses relays, and when they flashes fast one light is out, but you replaced your burnt bulb might be a bad relay.

on the brake lights, check to be sure the switch located at the top of the brake pedal isn't stuck, you can Jumper the switch to see if that works,

My brake lights wont work but my blinkers work and the backup lights also work what could the reason why my brake lights wont work?

check fuses for brake system.also check brake switch under dash behind brake pedal. disconnect plug from brake switch and use a jumper wire to jump across plug to activate brake lights. if your brake lights come on remove switch and install new switch. hope this will help.

Have a Chevy Corsica 1996. Blinkers not working right. When I step on brake the arrow on instrument panel for the right blinker lights up. When use left blinker, both flash like the flashers are on. ...

It sounds like a bad light socket. The brake light and the parking/running/regular part of the socket are shorting out. When you press on the brake petal it's shorting out on the turn signal and sending current to the indicator (arrow) on the dash.. When you use the blinker, it's shorting with the brake light and causing them both to flash...

Check the socket and get back to me with the result.

I have a 98 Bucik Park Avenue. I recently had it painted and when the body man put the lights back in I began having problems with the brake lights and turn signal lights. Only one brake light lights up and only on signal light lightsup and they are on opposite sides. I have changed the bulbs (all) and I have tested the fuses(All).
