the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: engine code reads P1776 1/2 and P0700 transmission

P0700-This Relates to MIL"Malfunction Indicator Lamp")( Request - Control System for Transmission
unable to locate description for P1776,can you get all systems scanned for codes again as 0700 just indicates that a fault has occurred that has lit the check light and logged at the ECU.
Obviously it will be related to the shift fault, maybe a speed sensor or a dirty fluid fault.
Get back to me with any extra info.

1993 Isuzu NPR when taking off transmission shifts good but after bout 1/4 mile downshifts out of overdrive and will not shift into of again until it sits and cools for a little while

Many of todays cars have a mode called Limp Mode. The Motor and Computer talk to each other and if faults are found? The Limp Mode (( Short for Limp on home mode )) will be set in the Computer. Go to your local Auto Zone and ask them to Scan the OBD 2 fault codes with their reader. Or pay the dealer. It may be something really simple. My Check Engine light was on the other day because the Gas Cap was loose. This Scanner told us the problem and we tightened the Gas Cap. After 3 times driving the car with it tight .... The Check Engine light went off.

1999 isuzu npr how do you get transmission codes without a scanner?

Use a paper clip to connect terminals #4 & #11 of the DLC (OBDII) 16 pin connector located near the driver side kick panel. Turn the ignition to the ON position, DO NOT START. The CHECK TRANS light on the dash will flash any stored trouble codes. Codes will be repeated three times each. Flashing will continue until the jumper wire (paper clip) is removed. 4l80e trans.had no overdrive, replaced unit with reman. same problem

The shifting, including that of the overdrive is computer controlled. It's even possible that the tow/haul feature has been activated through short, or such. The tow/haul function deactivates the overdrive, and raises the pump pressure in the transmission, causing it to shift harder and at different points. You might want to look into these.
