I was told the transmission line would NOT be best gotten from a junk-yard. Maybe I got bad advice as normally we head there first.

it's not bad at all to get one from there. Just make sure to blow the line out with compressed air to make sure it's clean.

Junk yard, ask for a replacement line.
dealer is next option, but parts for saturn's are about to become hard to get.

How to remove 02 buick rendezvous radiator transmission line

Hey Big, You will need a set of FLARE NUT wrenches... these are critical.. without them, you will round off the connector nuts, collapse the ends of the nuts or twist off the radiator connections..the removal is pretty straight forward.. HOLD the radiator connection with one wrench and loosen the line nuts with another wrench....

I just replaced the wiper motor transmission on my 2005 Saturn Ion. When I removed the nuts holding the wiper arms in place, I noticed both nuts were stripped. I am having problems finding the correct size...

They should be 8mm x 1.5 thread. If you take a nut to a GM dealer you should be able to find a correct replacement. A hardware store should have something comparable.

2006 saturn ion radiator replacement

Difficult to say since the standard replacement fee would not apply. You may have to just pay by the hour, usually half the professional rate.

I have a 94 Saturn SL1 stick shift. i bought a replacement radiator online. It looks exactly like the old one, except the metal (transmission or A/C?) fittings that are on a separate smaller radiator...

If the auxillary transmission cooler is not in the way of the new radiator, if it was me, i would leave it..It will cool the transmission better. no need to plug line holes in new radiator. Hope this Help you??

How do the transmission lines come apart at the radiator

I just had a similar problem....Not sure how they break down, but they did...Might be a common problem with Saturn.....I just finished paying $333.00 to get new lines put in.......This can be a critical problem if lines leak enough....

The thermostat is defective but cannot find it

Follow the top hose on the radiator to the engine, should be a dome shaped fitting, housing, it is in there. Always. Check it out.

I have a 06 saturn ion. my window will go up

towards the back of the door is a short track that runs left to right. there should be a nut either loose or missing on this track. put loctite on the stud, then put the nut back on. do this AFTER the window is back on track.

Transmission oil lines leaking

The lines have holes in them? Or are they just leaking at the connections? If just the connections, then all you need is two wrenches of the correct size. One on the permanent fixture nut like the radiator or the transmission, and the other wrench goes on the line. After removal, clean the threads, and apply some teflon tape and reassemble. tight is tight, and too tight is broke (stripped).
