SOURCE: my son ownes a GMC
No, he cannot I just recently changed the fuel pump in my pick-up and I had to buy the whole module, it isn't sold seperatley, and is pricy. But I did get mine off of ebay for a fairly cheap price with a one year warranty and it is working great

SOURCE: fuel leak
This part is a vent solenoid to the EVAP system. The solenoid is controlled by the PCM & vents fuel vapors to the charcoal canister. If fuel is leaking here you should first make sure your vent in the gas cap is not clogged. This could cause a vacuum in tank & possibly lead to your problem, or the solenoid may have been damaged when the tank was removed & replaced.

SOURCE: how to replace fuel filter?
if you can't find one, it might be that either it doesn't have one (as some cars) or it might be located inside of fuel pump assemply (inside fuel tank) but that's a longer story :)
