Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on

The CKP sensor, located on the back of the engine, runs off the flywheel/driveplate and provides the ECM with crankshaft position and engine speed. The sensor is a Hall effect type that senses the passing of teeth on a flywheel/driveplate, because the teeth disrupt the magnetic field of the sensor. This disruption creates a pulse generation, which is monitored by the ECM.,,,

My GWM 2.8 tdi pick up won't rev over 2500rpm, the engine warning light is ON. GWM agents failed to fix it. Uhm.... The throttle is one of those stupid electronic ones.

wow, no year, that makes this hard, huh?
NOR if full time fail or intermittent.
hot or cold engine or both?
parked or moving both ? even in neutral ? no rev.?

yes EFI is stupid , lacking tools. but carbs suck more.(endless stories i have, 50 years worth)

GMW, agents ,did you take it in running ok>? why do that.?
nobody can fix cars that run perfect, unless rich, and they keep it for one week $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
did you use a scan tool when it failed, if not, why not? working blind?
GWM. 2.8TDI.
chineese , Great wall Wingle , mfg?
TDI 101
  1. clogged fuel filters, do the service in the book yet>??????
  2. Check engine lamp on, ? ignored? yes its on
  3. air cleaner packed, (full time fail)
  4. bad fuel.
  5. water in fuel
  6. injection failure. (weak)
  7. input to the PCM , reading wrong. (seem it is huh? CEL on)
no year posted so , that means you need to find out what scan
tools work on xxxx year car. if OBD2 type. any new scan tools works.

I can't find the location of the crankshaft postion sensor in my 2000 Hyundai sonata

My online Sonata manual shows these possibilities, but does not identify which applies specifically to 2000 Sonata.
Also, when you talk to the dealership parts counter, you'll need to know whether your 2000 Sonata is (a) 4-cylinder 2.4L MFI DOHC engine, or (b) 6-cylinder 2.5L MFI DOHC engine.
Its easy to tell - just count your spark plug wires.

-- begine excerpt from 2000 Hyundai Sonata Repair guide --

The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel.
The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel/torque converter.
The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the driver-s side of the vehicle, down by the lower radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the crankshaft pulley.
The crankshaft position sensor is located at the front of the engine near the timing belt.
