Take off the upper rad hose and position it safety as not to get sprayed. Then start the engine and see if water (coolant ) is pushed thru the system

Changed radiatorn temp sensor and thermostat 2004 lexus gs 300 still overheating

Have a compression test done to confirm that there is not a headgasket/cylinder head failure. Modern aluminum heads are prone to warping with just one over heating. If that tests ok then check your water pump and make sure your coolant syatem was bled of any air.

Replaced radiator in my 2000 VW with 2.0 engine. Water is not flowing

There are two reasons for no water flow.

1. Stuck thermostat
2. Bad water pump

Water will not flow thru the radiator until the engine reaches operating temperature and the thermostat opens. Depending on the vehicle and the ambient temperature, at idle this can take from a few to as many as 10-15 minutes. Just don't let the vehicle overheat as a result of testing.

I got the t stat and the water pumped replaced and the water is not circulationing..i have a 2000 cavi.....i tryed everything what shud i do

When the water pump was replaced, was the radiator drained? If so, did it flow freely out? Are you looking into the upper radiator to determine it is not flowing? An inexpensive check would be to have the radiator cap pressure tested for free at your part store. A clogged radiator can keep the coolant from flowing properly. There are some radiator shops that will inspect and test your radiator for free also. Hope this helps.

Heater dosent work, blower does, blows cold air only

Test the flow of water through the heater core, there are two hoses that run from the engine to the firewall where the heater core is located. Remove the hoses and use a garden hose to force water through it. The water must flow unrestricted like it is coming out of the hose. if water fails to flow unrestricted you issue is a plugged heater core.

There also may be a control valve at one of these hoses. You can test by removing it from the circuit and reinstalling the hose without it and retest the heater.

I have a mazda 626 td which I have fitted a new radiator to. Top hose is very hot and bottom hose is cold. When I undo the bleeding nut on the radiator and rev the car a little air bubbles come out, which I...

You may have a circulation problem, check this with a COLD engine, trun heater temp to cold, drain coolant, remove both hoses from the radiator, take a garden hose and put it in one of them, turn the water on, it should freely flow out the other, you may need to wrap a towel around the hose to get a bit of a seal, but it should not take much pressure to get it to flow, no flow? Are you sure the thermostat is out? Good flow? try the same to the radiator, does it flow? If both flow you may have an impeller that has come off your water pump, to test, reconnect bottom hose, leave top hose loosely connected, fill with water, start it, slowly pull the hose back, water should be flowing out with a good flow, if it isn't, you either didn't find the t-stat, or your water pump is kaput. Seems the t-stat is in an odd place on some of these, do you have a manual? look again because it sounds like a broken thermostat that is not opening, especially if your water flow test failed - no flow. Hope this helps

When an engine overheats, the scale and debris that resides in the engine water jackets, comes loose and is carried by the water into the radiator coming to rest in the top tank. This blocks off some of the cooling tubes and causes the engine to run hotter than it should, perhaps even boiling. Have the cooling syatem (engine plus radiator) reverse flushed st the radiator specialists. Have the thermostat checked and corrosion inhibitor added to the water. (or proprietry coolant added).I can give you the procedure for this if you want to do the work yourself.
