Side of transmission has upper fill/level plug, and lower drain plug. Open upper plug and add fluid until it comes out. then it is at proper level.

SOURCE: where to add transmission fluid in a 2000 Ford

Hi and Welcome to fixya.

First of all you have to dipsticks one for oil and the other for Automatic fluid pull this one out and this is where you top up your Auto fluid, start the engine and let it idle in park position first check your level on the dipstick if low top up but don't go mad with topping up just a little bit at the time you don't want to over fill it,once done this replace dipstick and turn off engine, hope this helps you.
Best regards.

On the transmission from underneath you should see a bolt, you will have to remove it to put in the proper amount. Go to autozone.com it may have a diagram for it's location.

It's a problem inside the transmission. Could be as easy as a fluid and filter change. Could be the solenoid package.
