SOURCE: 2005 buick leSabre whine or humming noise from front end.

I had the same problem with my 2000 Buick LeSabre last year. Took it in and they determined the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Costs about $300 per bearing, but definitely needs to be replaced as you'd be in serious trouble if the thing went out at highway speeds.

SOURCE: Front end noise/clunk 2004 Toyota Camry LE

Could be the lower control are bushing, it apparently is an issue with that model year.  Big bucks (850 CDN$) to fix as the 'whole' front end needs to be partially dropped and both should be done at the same time.  A mechanic should be able to see if that is a problem while the car is on the hoist.  The mechanic should be able to point to the area or point where the contact is being made. Mine lasted till 100,000 km, I heard it on the second hand test drive ( at 90,00 km) and asked a buddy ( a Toyota Master Mechanic) about it and he made me aware of it; i bought the car anyways.

SOURCE: dull flashing of air filter and fuel filter lamp

sounds like there could be voltage shortages in there. check your battery and charging system. use a multimetre to get accurate readings.

check the sensor connections as well. disconnect, clean and reconnect and see if the issue still arrises.

Differential noise

indicates axle bearing failure rather than diff problems
diff failure is indicated by a growling noise on acceleration or deceleration or a constant harmonic hum while driving at a steady speed
from your description of where the noise is most pronounced indicates wheel bearings

I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and country. Sometimes while driving I will feel a vibration in the gas pedal and hear a squeeling noise coming from the front end. It has happened only a few times, spped...

Have you had your transmission serviced, lately. Something in your drive train may be causing this . However, it is only sporadic. The fluid level may be too low or the pump may be going bad.

My 2000 dodge Durango is making a loud humming noise. When you go over 20mph. It feels like it is under my feet when I am driving and my steering wheel is vibrating. Any ideas what it nay be.

Check the front tyres for hi / low spots, flat spots, bulges. Try rotateing your wheels front to rear & see if the steering vibration disapears & noise move to rear.

Need 92 toyota paseo to pass CA smog test ! What causes too high HC in smog test????

High HC means moisture in the system. Try driving it longer then take it to the smog shop. Otherwise it could be hard like a head gasket or easy such as a PCV not functioning. Any ways you should always drive it about 20 miles before smog check, longer when the weather is cold.

2005 mini cooper has loud humming noise from rear when driving above 40 mph. Any suggestions on what this could be

I had a similar issue and it ended up being a broken wheel bearing. I even ended up having two, one was broken on my front passenger side, and one broken on my rear driver side. The part costs about $280.00, but could cost around $400.00 with service repair. The noise of a broken wheel bearing can sound like a humming, and over time it becomes louder. The car can be driven with a broken wheel bearing, but doing so can eventually lead to other wheel/tire maintenance. MINI's endure this commonly due to their low profile to the ground. Here is a forum on further issues experienced, including the bearing, and efforts towards recalls. http://newmini.wordpress.com/2009/02/17/mini-cooper-power-steering-failure/#comment-884

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!
