Slk 200 2001 rear passenger window does not operate ,direct 12 volt to motor wiring plug to motor and it works both up and down.where is this plug wired from so I can trace faulf

For serious fault-finding you need a circuit diagram and even on a car as early as 2001 you will probably find some unexpected electronics measuring the current drawn by the motor so it reverses if it meets an obstruction when closing or it is frozen when opening. If the windows close automatically when the central locking is used there will be more electronics.

I suggest you check the obvious first and substitute a switch and then check the wires between the B pillar and door where they flex and often used to break. If there is a ground wire that can be checked for ground integrity too.

I am not sure when the CAN-bus system was first used but it could have an early version of that where it is not the window switch that opens of closes a window but a mysterious black box and the switch merely serves to send a command.

Good luck!

This switch, located in the overhead console switchbank, is used for opening and closing the power rear quarter windows. Press the textured part of the switch to open the windows; both windows will open. The windows will continue to open as long as the switch is pressed, until they are fully opened. Press the part of the switch with the symbol to close both windows. The windows can be closed fully or partially, depending on how long the switch is pressed.

Reconect car battery rear door window will not go up

To reset the windows, you need to open them fully, then as quickly as you can, close them with the button until the window is fully closed again. Hold the closed button down until you hear a beep and get a Window Set message. You may need to do this several times until the window resets. Then open and close the window several times for the automatic open/close feature to function if it is available on your evhicle. Hope this helps.

2001 Pontiac Montana rear power windows opened and now they are both not closeing. There is no fuse and I can't close my windows. Please help me.

Power for the rear quarter windows passes through the 10A PWR QTR VENT fuse in the fuse block. 12V is applied to the rearquarter window switch which controls the open and close operation of the windows. If the fuse checks OK, the window actuators and motors are all that's left

Back window doesnt roll down properly when you open the door, so I have to push it down a little before I close it. Also the lock bottom for the windows doesnt work.

dis-connect your battery for 30 seconds to do a switch reset on your window, when you reconnect the batt your window will go down, open and close rear door to check lock functions ok first. close rear door and using key or switch inside car close window fully with out stopping, this should reset the window.

Rear windows dont workfrom master switch after battery disconnect

You have to reset the windows and sunroof after you change the battery. For windows open the driver half way and close the window up and hold the up switch for few seconds. If that don't work open the rear window from rear switch and that should work.
For moon roof open the moon roof and keep the hold the open button pressed for 10 seconds. Then close the moon roof and hold the close button pressed for 10 seconds
