Question about 2004 Nissan Maxima

1 Answer

My 2004 NIssan Maxima is jerking when changing gears. This doesn't start until I have driven for a little while. It is also making a noise on the right side of the car. Any ideas?

It's also leaking fluid, seems like on the right side in front of car.

I brought some an it really freaking work because I started to run it into a tree and go buy a toyota

Sounds as if you need the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The contacts inside are most likely worn out.

Will a bad transmission range sensor make my 1992 Nissan maxima jerk and hesitate about changing gears

That is possible but it should set some kind of a fault code, have it tested by a local transmission repair shop, in most cases they will do this for free in the hope of getting the repair business.

Take you vehicle to a nissan dealer as soon as possible because you could be having some major transmission problems. If you have vehicle warrent, see what it covers. Could be a costly repair.
