Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

From start to end troubleshooting these problems I suggest you to check the help link below and follow its procedure: -----

I don't have any electrical reading with a tester between the spark plug and the distributor. Any suggestions?

Hi, Check all the plug wires if necessary replace them. Also check for cracks and replace cap and rotor. Also check battery ground and/or body ground. Also have your mechanic check trouble codes.
Good luck.

Hi there, i have placed new coils and spark plugs also got new air-flow meter sensor new battery and car does not crank over please help

Hi does the motor turn with key but doesn't start?, If so take a spark plug out and replace it back into the spark plug lead and earth it onto a steel part of the body(make sure it's touching something steel). Have somebody turn the key to see if your getting spark. If you have spark then you have a fuel blockage but if you don't have spark but have new coils and battery then it could be a loose wire in the coil harness meaning electrical......
You say car does not crank over, If you mean you turn the key and motor doesn't turn then it's electrical, so no spark OR motor doesn't turn you're better off getting an auto electrician but if you have spark it's fuel problem and you need a mechanic... Sorry and good luck......

No spark at plugs

Do you mean you get spark from coil high tension wire to dizzy cap? If so, the only thing left is the cap and rotor and wires and the engine must have a good ground.

Look more closely at the 1 and 4 coil, also, check for trigger signal to these coils. I mostly suspect the trigger unit.

Car keeps cutting off just got a new starter, battery, and alternator

check the battery connections really good and check the power distribution center really good, sometimes the wires will get corroded and cause that too happen,it sounds like you just have a bad connection either to the distribution center or on one of the cables, that will cause what its doing,i own one of those and they will do this sometimes, good luck.

My 2003 RAM doesn't always wanna start but all the electrical stuff always works. I tested my battery and starter there both fine. I'm at a loss for what else it could be

You may have a cracked distributor cap. But first, disconnect one of the spark plug wires and insert a spark plug into it. Touch the plug to a good ground, such as the engine block. Have a friend try to start it. Use insulated pliers to hold it, or you could get a good jolt. If you see the plug firing, then its not an electrical issue, Probably a fuel problem.

Manual 1994 jetta 2.0 4 cylndr . Car will not start...it will not turn...battery is still great...could it be an electrical problem? Where is a good place to start checking?

start with the fuses and the relays. some say ign or eng which is ignition or engine. if that is good, check the fusible link. if that is good, test to see if the started gets full voltage

Good spark? Good fuel pressure? What is the fuel pressure reading? When were the spark plugs last replaced? Is there a trouble code stored in the PCM?

How do I change the plugs on my 2002 jaguar x-type 2.5 v-6?

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Then start at the front of your engine. Pull the spark plug wire off the spark plug from the boot that covers the spark plug. Remove spark plug from engine block, take new spark plug, check for proper gap and adjust if necessary, and then install new one into block. Repeat for the rest of the plugs. Re-connect negative battery cable and you should be good to go.
