Location of radiator fan fuse or fuse link ? Fan doesn't work.

Both should be a fuse under the hood, or under the dash, if there is a fuse link, it will be along the hot side of the wiring on the fan leading into source of power.

My oster the light is on but cooling fan is not works

the relay or the sensor are not working, you can test with a wire tester. sensor is in the wiring harness, follow wire from fan. relays are in fuse box in engine compartment along firewall. or you can hook the fan up to a toggle switch or hook fan up the the fuse box under dash to terminal that has power when key is in on position

Fan stopped working

bad wiring, dirty or melted fan motor, or if the fan motor smells burnt when you smell it try running a positive and negetive wire down from your battery to the wires to the fan and see if it works if you hook them up for a second if it does start working when you hook the wires from the battery up directly to the fan its means the original wires for the fan are either shorting out or losing connection somewhere

Chase wire down from fan back to engine sensor at the end of it change it then and double check fuzes it will tell you of surge of power but not of a bad sensor

How can u tell if a fan relays are bad

Hook the fan directly to car battery, if it works, try to hook the fan just before the relay, and if it works, test the relay by connecting a 12v current to the relay (to the connector that makes the relay conduct current, usually there is a diagram under the relay) if the fan spins while in place, the relay is good. Then it's a problem with the heat censor. If the fan doesn't spin in the first place, the fan is progen.

How do i test the fan if i already replaced the relay and the fan switch and it still doesn't work? What else could be the problem?

you could apply 12v battery power directly to the fan itself...there should be 2 wires coming from the center of the fan, follow these and you should come to a plug that you can un hook as if to remove the fan. on the fan side of the wires, hook them to 12v power, one wire + one to - if the fan does not turn, switch the wires polarity and test again. ( the fan should run either way, polarity just dictates direction of rotation) if the fan spins, the problem is on the car side. if not the fan itself is suspect. test vehicle side with known good fan or test light.

The fan to the motor is not working

My friend had a geo metro and his radiator fan stopped working due to a wiring problem and he had to run a toggle switch to it and then it worked fine. Try hooking a live wire to the battery to the fan and see if it comes on and if it does just hook it up with a toggle switch.

Cooling fan won't come on when car is up to temp. Fan came on when power wire to it was grounded out. The new thermostat is hooked in but does not work either. Wondering is the coolant temp sensor is bad...

Sounds like you should take it to a qualified repair shop to have this sorted out. new thermostat is hooked in but does not work either. ??????? The thermostat does not open ???? Engine over heats ? You put it in backwards . Cooling fan relay turns on the cooling fan . It's tough to guide someone through a diagnostic procedure when then don't have any idea how the system works .

Overheating, radiator fan not working

the fan motor may not be working ..you can check it... while the motor is off...unplug the fan and take a piece of wire hook it to the negitive wire on the fan and and run it to the neg on the battery...then take another wire and hook it to the positive on the fan and make sure your fingers are clear of the fan touch it to the pos on the battery ...if the fan dosent run then replace the fan...if it does run then the temp sensor might be gone
