SOURCE: I am replacing front brake lines on a 2002 GMC

It's possible that you don't have the correct replacemant lines. conpare the new lines to the old ones to be sure the threads and type of end are the same. If you line them up straight enough they should start with your fingers and screw in a ways. An open end wrench should work to tighten them but you may need to remove the bolts holding the unit on to get room to turn the wrench ( only move ti enough to get it done as you might break other lines. but if they do they needed changed anyway. It seems alot of GM's are rusting the lines near and at the unit. A crows foot line wrench can be gotton at a discount tool dealer like harbor frieght, but you have to buy a set. You can put the crows foot on the line and then turn it with a 3/8 extenstion. Regular mechanics that do this work all the time have these tools and you might consider having a pro do the work as bleeding the repaired system can be diffacult without all the right tools.

SOURCE: I need to hook up

Look in your users manual that came with you Yukon. If it has provisions, you should be able to locate this wire harness just below steering column or alittle to the right.(they at least give you room to get in so you dont hit your knees, where they usually mt. it.) Good luck, best regards.

2003 yukon brake diagram

Electrical or hydraulic? I can find electrical. But they can be confusing if you don't know how to read them. Hydraulic is really just following the brake lines. Replace what is needed or replace them all. They don't have to fit right back into the same spots. I recommend that you don't run them below the frame though. Tie them up as high as you can.

Where is the air compressor for the ride control on 06 gmc denail

Ride control compressors burn up because of leaking air line or shocks. Replacing compressor won't last long if you have a leak. Most of these units are mounted under floor near rear axle.

My girlfriend took her 2005 yukon to midas and they put dot4 in instead of dot3 a week later the brake system started messing up is there anything i can do to fix this

Dot 3 and dot 4 are ok. Dot 4 is just less succeptible to aeration which makes it preferable for abs applications. Any other fluid will cause damage to the abs system.

C0550 is the code for the ABS module. It is on the frame under the vehicle around the drivers door area. It is a module with all the brake lines coming from it. Reset the trouble codes and see if the problem returns. If it does, the module is not serviceable and will need to be replaced.

I have a 2002 gmc yukon. When i press my brakes my antilock brakes go off and stopping is tough. what could this be?

you need to connect a diagnosing scan tool and go for a drive. during an ABS event, watch the values of the wheel speed sensors on the scan tool. chances are one will not be accurate, causing the abs to activate. the sensors are integral to the wheel bearings, and are changed as a complete unit. this is a common failure. good luck!

Brake line diagram

Brake Lines and Hoses
Double-walled steel line is used in the hydraulic lines between the brake master cylinder and the front tube connector, and between the brake master cylinder and the flexible brake hose at the rear wheels.
Double-flared brake lines provide good leak-proof connections.
When replacing hydraulic brake lines, hoses, or connectors, tighten all connections securely. After replacement, bleed the brake system; refer to Section 206-00 .
The wet appearance of the outer cover of the rubber brake hose is referred to as "sweating." This is a normal condition for neoprene rayon braid hose and is not a sign of leakage or cause for replacement of the hose.

ABS bleeding technique on GMC Yukon

If you forced the pads back into the calipers without loosening the bleeders you probably forced gunk into the abs modulator valves. Sometimes doing the automated bleed proceedure (need Tech or Bi Directional Scanner) will bring things back to life.
