I have a 94 Mazda B3000 im replaceing the water pump but i cant get the clutch fan off how do i do this

not sure what the problem is could you be a little more clear? It it is frozen/stuck try some (lock free) wait 5 min and apply more wait 10 min and this should free up any frozen bolts. If it is a case of leverage try using a breaker bar? hope this helps

do you start the truck and let it idle, and does it overheat? Take some cardboard and try to stop the fan from moving, if it stops the fan from moving replace it.

I need to see how to replace my water pump on my 2001 dodge durango 5.9l v-8 engine

You need a large adj or a whench that fits tight on the clutch fan nut remember the nut is reverse threaded, I'm sure they make a proper half moon wrench with 2 pins to fit into the holes in the pully, however you can put 2 bolts in the holes and using a long bar to keep the pully from turning. you have to hit the wrench pretty hard with a hammer to get the clutch loose so make sure your bar doesn't bounce or it can damage your pully. once the clutch is off remove your belt and the pully and your at the WP. you don't have to hit the clutch as hard when you put it back as engine torque will tighten it more . I hope this helps.

I put a new fan clutch on, the pully where the fan clutch bolts to is now loose, oil coming from behind pully, and sounds like fan is hitting shroud cover , and the reduced engine power light came on .

It sounds like something went wrong during the installation of your new fan clutch. If the bolts are loose the fan may very well be hitting the shroud. Your new clutch is probably a viscous style clutch and is filled with an oil like fluid and could be the oil that you are seeing. If your clutch was not working correctly and the vehicle was getting hot it may have caused the reduced power light to come on.

Knocking when engine gets hot and car stopped

The fan clutch can make a knocking noise when it tries to engage. At idle it will have a rhythm to it when it tries to engage. You will have an over heating condition and the air conditioning may not work properly.

The fix is to replace the fan clutch and reprogram the engine control module.

How to remove a water pump

Locate water pump.. It's where the bottom radiator hose goes from the radiator. Remove any brackets or parts that are in your way. Remove water pump! Reverse procedure for installation. You have to remove the fan clutch from the water pump shaft and lift the shroud, fan and clutch all out together. remove two bolts in the center radiator support which let the radiator move forward an inch or so, loosen the fan from the clutch for a little more wiggle room to get it out. The shroud will have rubber splash shields hooked to the lower sides too, so be sure to unhook them or you will tear out the holes in the rubber shields. The fan clutch has to come off anyway because it's attached to the water pump. You don't need to remove the fan shroud. Just take out two bolts on the fan clutch and loosen the other two so you can push the clutch back a little (DON'T let the fan clutch fall). Then remove the water pump. It's a little tight, but much easier than removing the fan shroud.the only specialty tool that you will need is the water pumpt "grab" tool and the fan clutch wrench. These two items come together in one kit that you can rent from the Auto Parts store.
The "grab" tool holds the water pumpt pully firmly while you rotate the fan clutch retainer using the fan clutch wrench.

DO NOT attempt to use a break over bar or some other home-grown tool to hold the water pump pully while attempting to break the fan clutch free - you will mess up the heads of the four retainer bolts holding the pully to the water pump face.
this will help.thanks.

Can't get fan clutch off. My neighbor thought it

Sometimes the fan will get stuck on the water pump. usually a couple of taps with a hammer will loosen it enough to get it out. Then there should be four bolts that bolt the actual fan to the clutch. These will be facing the engine. Don't drive it with the bolts out of the pulley. It will probably come off and destroy your radiator.

How to remove the fan blade in a 1998 suburban and replace it?

A Clutch FAN Requires the 4 Nuts/Bolts @ the Pully Bunched up in the Center Behind the FAN & In Front of Water Pump, Once Assmbly is Removed there are 4 BOLTS that Fasten the (FAN) to the CLUTCH assembly. It is Wise th REPLACE BOTH FAN & FAN CLUTCH ASSEMBLY AS A SET
