Well get ready cuz ur not gonna like it in order to change the water pump you must remove the top left motor mount then remove all the belts and plastic covers you can get to then pull the harmonic balancer and acc belt tensioner then then remove the rest of the plastic covers take off the timing belt and tensioner pulley assembly then u can remove the water pump install is reverse of tear down but make sure you get the block clean and replace the timing belt too otherwise that water pump wont matter cuz you'll meed a new enginge when that belt breaks

Battery in car was flat so I push started it when it started I pressed the petrol but it wouldn't rev but kept idling water pump sign on the dashboard is on, can anyone help? Is this battery related?

No if Your Icon for over heating is on it's coolant related meaning
a bad thermostat, or a bad water pump, or just could be low on coolant and need some add it. easiest is to check fluid level first
if that's up open Coolant cap and run vehicle and look in radiator to see if coolant is circulating if it's not You could have a bad thermostat, or a bad pump, and between the two Thermostat is least expensive & easiest to replace. good luck.

Need to replace waterpump

Your Malibu is equipped with probably the EASIEST water pump in the word to change.

Drain the cooling system.
Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
Remove the drive belt.
Remove the water pump pulley bolts and pulley.
Remove the water pump bolts, pump and gasket.
Clean the water pump mating surfaces.
Install the water pump and reassemble in reverse order

Hint: The O-ring that seals the water pump is much easier to install if you use a little dielectric grease to "stick" it to the water pump before installing. This O-ring needs to expand and contract and move freely in the water pump groove due to extreme changes in engine temperature. The dielectric grease will actually help accomplish this. DO NOT use RTV silicone to "glue" the O-ring.

Want to replace water pump's worn out bearing of my nissan urvan TD27...your assistance will be highly appreciated....

Water pumps are not really designed to be dismantled and the body invariably collapses when you try push one of the fittings off. The shaft also forms the bearing and these are not readily available. It is easiest to just replace the water pump as a unit. Water pumps are not expensive and pirate parts are available but may be of dubious quality.

Need to replace water pump. What's the easiest way

I would attempt to take the fan blade off the water pump, then remove the fan shroud off the radiator but leave the radiator in the car.. it may take a little more finesse but save you alot of time..

Water pump needs replacement.cummins diesel

the water pumps on these engines are some of the easiest to replace. just take the belt loose. unbolt the water pump and pull it out. scrape whatever pieces of the old gasket are on the block off. and install new water pump and gasket. the put the belt back on.
here is a better demonstration with pics:

Water pump

Hello nedy...if you have the V6 engine, it will require the removal of the timing chain cover to access the water pump. The water pump is mounted to the engine block with 4 bolts. It is recommended that the bolts be replaced due to electrolysis (steel bolt in aluminum block) Replace all gaskets and o-ring seals as well.
While you are in there, you can inspect the timing chains, it has 3..and the chain tensioners. A Haynes repair manual would be helpful on this project and will have the correct torque specs.
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate mr a fixya.

best and easiest is to go to the library and look for a chilton or other such repair manual. other then that most automotive box stores sell them.
