Question about 2004 Chevrolet Impala

1 Answer

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala and I have a tape that I bought that connects to my phone through a wire so I can listen to the songs on my phone. However, recently everytime I place a tape into the the slot, it spits it out within the first 2 minutes of being in there. What could be wrong with it?

Your "tape" is a cassette adapter. It is designed to be inserted in one of two ways depending upon whether your radio loads cassettes the long way or the short way...BUT you have to insert the wire into the appropriate slot of the adapter so it will not bind as it is inserted into the radio. You can actually damage the wire if you do not do this. Your problem may be caused by interference between the wire and the player mmechanism, causing it to eject

SOURCE: have a 2004 Chevy Impala recently purchased used.

sounds like you have a wheel hub out causing the lights to come on. odds are it would be the front left. it's not sensing right causing the traction control to be turned on. or it could be a loose wire for that hub. gm cars has had a problem with these two issues.

SOURCE: Need to locate coolant reservoir

The coolant recovery tank is located between the power steering fluid reservoir and the underhood fuse block in the engine compartment on the passenger's side of the vehicle. .

The vehicle must be on a level surface. When your

engine is cold, the coolant level should be at the COLD

mark or a little higher. When your engine is warm,

the level should be up to the HOT mark or a little higher.

Check the fuse first and then check the wiring coming from the taped off one to see if it has power. Then check the harness to see if they are connected to the same power source, which may be the missing one.

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala and the radio is not putting out any sound. The display works but no sound.. Any ideas on whats wrong?

I also have a 2004 Impala with the same problem. I searched the computer and found that a connection in the wiring under the carpet and behind the passenger seat gets corroded from the floor being wet. I'm in the process of removing seats and carpet to find this problem and hopefully fix it. I'm sure that your door chime quit working too.
