there is a plate with hex screws on the top of the engine about 3 if i am not mistaken take the air filter pipe off first and then the spark plug cover the plugs and leads are under this cover

You most likely have a blown Auxilliary Power Outlet fuse. (Happens all the time) The Auxilliary Power Outlet fuse also powers you Data Link Connector (DLC). If the DLC has no power, the computer scanner will not communicate with the engine computer.
Check Fuse #7 (25 Amp) in the instrument panel fuse block. (See diagram)

Is a 1997 audi a4 obd2 diagnostic?


Yes, it is! The Data Link Connector (DLC) - car diagnostic plug is placed on back side between driver and passenger seats, on bottom back side of armrest under a plastic cover of ashtray. Under cover near back ashtray is a small plastic cover hidding DLC.

Hi!!

The OBD Diagnostic Link Connector is located in front seating area, passenger side, under dash, above kick panel, mounted rear of glove compartment.

2000 Cavalier DLC wiring.


Check the CIG fuse it goes directly to pin 16. It also powers the cigarette lighter. That fuse should be in the I/P fuse box.
